Course Instructor

John Doran

John Doran

John brings extensive experience in leading service delivery, operations, and maintenance activities, as well as optimizing asset contributions to business outcomes, particularly in large, multi-faceted infrastructure and asset-intensive businesses.

His expertise in asset whole-of-life performance stems from his experience as an "operator" and recipient of infrastructure commissioned and handed over by design and construction teams that often did not meet the required operational performance level, resulting in "value leakage." This frequently necessitated retro-modifying assets or changing operational philosophy and strategy. These experiences motivated John to pursue a more holistic approach to asset management across all lifecycle phases, emphasizing total cost of ownership and the importance of getting the concept, design, and acquisition of new assets right to ensure their ongoing efficacy in contributing to business outcomes.

His training programs have consistently achieved excellent outcomes, with delegate ratings averaging 4.9 out of 5, or 98%. As a result, Global Training Organizations (GTOs) have requested the development of additional training courses. To date, John has developed 10 training courses covering various aspects of Asset Management and Operational Leadership, further demonstrating his expertise in the field.
